Vice President Research Ulla Haverinen-Shaughnessy
Ulla Haverinen-Shaughnessy, D. Sc. (Tech.) has over 20 years of experience in research pertaining to indoor environmental quality (IEQ). She has been one of the leading scientists globally utilizing student level data to establish multilevel associations between IEQ indicators and student health outcomes and academic tests scores. She has also coordinated multi-national research related to effects of improving energy efficiency of buildings on IEQ, health and wellbeing. More recently, she is involved with R&D work related to continuous IEQ monitoring.
Dr. Haverinen-Shaugnessy is Adjunct Professor at Tampere University, Finland and Visiting Professor at the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. She works as a Research Advisor.
Dr. Haverinen-Shaughnessy served her first term in the ISIAQ board as Member-at-Large, during which she started data collection and sharing related to IEQ guideline values
, and volunteered to co-chair the upcoming ISES-ISIAQ 2019 conference in Kaunas, Lithuania.
