Vice President Research Ulla Haverinen-Shaughnessy
I am excited about the opportunity to serve ISIAQ as VP Research. I served my first term in the ISIAQ board as Member-at-Large, during which I started data collection and sharing related to IEQ guideline values
, and volunteered to co-chair the upcoming ISES-ISIAQ conference in 2019. Other areas I consider important include advancing research based practices and policies, as well as international collaboration. I have a broad, multidisciplinary research background, including studies in structural engineering, building physics, energy efficiency, and IEQ, from source characterization to exposure assessment to health effects and health risk assessment. Focal areas of my research include impacts of IEQ on pupils’ health and learning. I am currently Visiting Professor at The University of Tulsa, USA, and Adjunct Professor at Tampere University of Technology, Finland. I also work as Research Advisor.
