Greetings to all ISIAQ members. This is my first opportunity to address all of you as President of ISIAQ. I first wish to thank our Past President Pawel Wargocki for his service. I hope that I can lead with such energy, creativity and clarity of vision.

Pettenkofer Award Presented to Professor Charles J. Weschler

The Max Josef von Pettenkofer award is awarded to an individual in recognition of outstanding work in advancing the indoor air sciences. At the opening ceremony at Indoor Air 2014, Charles J. Weschler received this, the most prestigious award bestowed by the ISIAQ Academy of Fellows.

Yaglou Award Presenteed to Gabriel Bekö

The 2014 winner of the Yaglou Award is Gabriel Bekö, Associate Professor at the International Centre for Indoor Environment and Energy, Department of Civil Engineering, Technical University of Denmark.  The Yaglou Award acknowledges outstanding work of promising young researchers within the indoor air sciences.  The award includes a monetary prize of USD2,500.

Healthy Buildings 2015

In 2015 we will begin the regional Healthy Buildings conferences. The first of the two 2015 conferences, Healthy Buildings Europe will take place at Eindhoven Technical University in the Netherlands beginning May 18th, 2015 and second, Healthy Buildings America will take place in Boulder, Colorado starting July 19th.

Indoor Air journal impact factor “skyrocketing”

Now at 4.202, the Indoor Air journal’s impact factor has reached a new high, up more than 27% from 2012, and more than double its value from 2010.
