President - Marzenna Dudzinska
Marzenna R. Dudzinska, Ph.D., D.Sc., full professor, is the Head of the Department of Indoor and Outdoor Air Quality, which she organized in 2006, at Lublin University of Technology, Poland. She was Fulbright’s scholar at University of Houston, USA, a junior researcher at Spectroscopy and Spectrochemie Institute, Dortmund, Germany, as well as having undergone training in the programme in WHO and European Commission as a National Expert on the Detachment in Directorate General for Research and Innovation in Brussels (before Poland joined EU).
She received her Ph.D. in environmental chemistry from Marie Curie-Sklodowska University in Poland and habilitation (D.Sc.) in environmental engineering from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland. In 2014 she was nominated full professor by the President of the Republic of Poland.
Her main areas of research are VOCs and SVOCs in indoor environment, aerosols and their chemical composition, along with strategies to improve indoor air quality.
She is an author and co-author of 3 books, 179 papers and book chapters, as well as an editor and co-editor of 21 books and co-author of 9 patents.
She is a member of the Polish Chemical Society (since 1978), the Committee of Environmental Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (since 2003), the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (since 2011) and the European Academy of Science and Art (since 2015).
She served as the President of Healthy Building Europe - 2017.
