Editor of the Indoor Air journal - Jan Sundell
Dr. Sundell is a Swedish environmental scientist, with a background in both engineering (M.SC.Eng from The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm) and in medicine (MD in environmental medicine from Karolinska Institute, Stockholm). Before going into science he was responsible for building codes, and occupational safety and health legislation in Sweden on ventilation and indoor climate. He has conducted several large epidemiological studies on office illness, and on the associations between asthma and allergies and the home environment. He has worked as professor at the Technical University of Denmark, is the Editor of the most influential scientific journal within the area of indoor air sciences, Indoor Air, has published numerous books and chapters in books, and more than 70 peer reviewed scientific articles. He has been on the BOD for ISIAQ and has been president of the International Academy of Indoor Air Sciences (Fellows of ISIAQ). He has led numerous multidisciplinary scientific reviews on the total literature on different aspects of indoor air exposures and human health.
